# Add a loyalty card to Apple Wallet

Add a shop's loyalty card to Apple Wallet on your iPhone, using the link or QR code the shop gave you. You don't need to download an app.

The shop's loyalty card is in Apple Wallet on your iPhone.

**Who can do this:** Anyone with the shop's card link or QR code. No app download and no account needed.

## Before you start

- An iPhone with the Wallet app
- The card link or QR code from the shop
- Your phone number, because the form usually asks for it

## Steps

### Step 1

Open the card link the shop gave you, or scan the shop's QR code with your iPhone camera.

### Step 2

Make sure the page is open in **Safari**.

> If you opened the link inside Instagram, Facebook or another app, copy the link and paste it into Safari. In the wrong browser, the page says: "Please open this page in your Safari browser. The card can only be issued in Safari."

### Step 3

Fill in the details the shop asks for, usually your first name, last name and **Phone**.

In the app: 'First name', 'Last name', 'Phone'

> The shop chooses the fields, so you may also see Email or Date of birth. Membership cards always ask for your email. Use a phone number you'll keep: it's how your card is found again if you lose it.

### Step 4

Tick the boxes to accept the terms.

### Step 5

If the page asks for a **Confirmation code**, enter the code sent to your phone.

In the app: 'Confirmation code'

> Not every shop asks for this.

### Step 6

Tap **Install in Apple Wallet**, then wait for the file to download.

In the app: 'Install in Apple Wallet'

### Step 7

When the card preview opens, tap Add in the top right.

In the app: 'Add'

> Add is Apple's button, not part of the shop's page.

## What you should see

The card appears in Apple Wallet on your iPhone. Open the Wallet app whenever you want to use it.

## If something goes wrong

### The page says to open it in Safari

**Likely cause:** The link is open in another browser, or inside another app such as Instagram or Facebook. The card can only be added from Safari.

Copy the link, open **Safari**, paste the link and start again.

### The link opens a file or nothing happens

**Likely cause:** Browsers built into apps like Instagram or Facebook often can't pass the card to Apple Wallet.

Open the link in **Safari** instead. The guide 'Card link opens a file or does nothing' has the details.

### You tapped Install in Apple Wallet but the card isn't in Wallet

**Likely cause:** The card is only added after the file finishes downloading and you tap Add in the preview.

Follow the guide 'Card won't add to Apple Wallet'. Adding the same card again replaces it, so you won't end up with two.

## Need a person?

Only you can fill in the form and tap Add on your own iPhone. If you're stuck, contact the shop that gave you the card: they can send you the link again. Customers can't use Loyaltymaster's in-app chat. If you run the business, you can contact Loyaltymaster support at any time.
